My name is Darren Rocket from 6 Richards Close, West Heath, Longbridge, B38 8AT.

The creator of the mini car needs to be honoured for his creation.

I owned a mini many years and only wish I would have kept it but with a family it just wasn't big enough and for many years I've always said if I could afford a new mini I would HAVE his name written on the boot!

Obviously Sir Alec Issigonis was titled for his work but has never been heard of since then.
The other issue for the reason I am discussing this is because he lived and died in the city I live in Birmingham and I live virtually a stone throw away where the car was produced in Longbridge.

The other disappointed bit on my behalf is that I am late in supplying you with this information as it would have been his birthday on the 18th November which is ashame.

So my suggestion is that I believe a mini should be made I have a his honour and the days the mini is taken to "The Works" where it is modified to the owners request so I suggest "The SIR ALEC ISSIGONIS MINI" should be modified to whatever information can be gathered about Sir Alec and made in remembering this honourable man.
