Bissell Product Improvement Idea

Old questions should still offer points otherwise nobody will answer them. I just found this site looking for a way to fix a product. Someone who posted the same question over 90 days ago never had it answered. Because no points are offered to have this question answered I basically wasted my time looking at the and similar questions, none of which are answered. If I find the answer what incentive would I have to sign back in and answer it for future people seeking help? Isn't the purpose of this site to build a database of answers? If so, why discard possible answers because they are 90 days old? At least offer half the points or something.
