Non Newtonian Material

Boeing Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 5 years ago

Currently Am A Level 6 Student Aerospace Engineering My Current Research Project Is About The Use Of Nonnewtonian Materials And Anti Gravity Devices

Simply Employing My Ideas To Protect The Aircraft Wings Structure And Flying Controls Against Raptures During Flying (cruise) Or During Ground Operations

Nonnewtonian Materials Is Not New To The Market But Little Research Been Done To Employ This Material S To The Aviation Sector

My Project Is Dedicated To My Graduation

Summary

Nonnewotonian Materials Simply Absorb A Shock And Diffuse The Impact Energy In Simply No Time By Distributing The Energy Around The Body The Energy Gets Weaker And Diffused As Energy Can Not Be Destroyed There Is A Bit Of Research Need To Be Done

Currently, The Market Is Employing This Material Into Protection Purposes Such As

Mobile Phone
Protection For Soldiers( Helmets And Vests)
Sports In Which Damage To The Body Could Occur ( Hockey)
One Aircraft Accident Have Taken My Attention And That Is Where I Started Thinking And Developing My Ideas

On November 4th, 2010 Qantas Flight 32 Takes Off From Changi Airport ( Singapore) To Sidney Australia Three And A Half Minutes From Take Off An Engine Explosion Sent Bits And Pieces

In The Direction Of The Wing, Damaging The Aircraft Hydraulics And Controls As It Penetrated Through The Wing From Lower Surface To Upper Camber Of The Wing

Similar Accident Happen On The Runway Before That

My Idea Is To Employ The Non-newtonian Materials As A Protection Surface On The Lower Surface Of The Aircraft Aerofoils

The Market Leader In Research And Development In The Non-newtonian Materials Is D3o

Please Let Me Know If There Is A Chance Of Cooperation Between Kingston University And Airbus In Terms Development And Research To Achieve The Target

Kind Regards
