Autism Collection
Build-A-Bear Workshop New Product IdeaSubmitted 1 year ago
Hello! I'm Ashton, an autistic woman from arizona and I recently had an idea for an autism collection for autism awareness month. Autism speaks isn't generally supported anymore for a variety of reasons so I thought it would be an awesome idea if you guys had your own updated and inclusive line!
First there's two frog options, one is yellow and one is red. They both have "different not less" written on their feet and AU (for autism and the abbreviation for gold) written on their hands. The yellow one has the rainbow infinity on its chest and the red one has the gold infinity.
Next there's a pink bear for "The Lost Girls." There's a description of what that means in the photo. Basically it's the group of girls who went undiagnosed or got misdiagnosed until adulthood. There's a lot of us
For the last bear I just made a little remodel of the one that already exists except without puzzle pieces because gross. So that one is a blue bear with the rainbow infinity on its chest and a rainbow insides of its ears!
For clothing and accessories I had a bunch of ideas but only drew a few. There's a little build a bear paw print chewlery for your fuzzy friend, a rainbow infinity wristie, two versions of an "I ❤️ my special interests" onesie (one green and one white for customizing), and then a penguin outfit! The shirt is blue and has two penguins dancing with headphones on and it says "Stimming is cool!" The shorts are dark blue cargos that have a pocket that says "Fidget Holder."
Some of my other ideas were: communication cards, a bear-sized fidget, headphones, and a shirt that says "girls are autistic too!"
