With networks now combining 2 or 3 separate 1 hour programs into one three hour recording, allow the user to go to a point in time of the recorded program and "trim before this point" and/or "trim after this point" to save only the recorded content that is wanted. This could also be useful to save small snippets of the news or favorite moments of any other program to watch later without needing to use excess storage. Perhaps its a favorite SNL clip, or an interview with a family member that you want to keep, but don't want the entire program. After "trimming" you will not have to FF or RWD to the part of the program you want to view since it is the only portion saved.
