My idea is to drive a turbo charger off of the crank using a belt, gear or chain so it would behave like a supercharger at low rpm and allow it to freely spin via a clutch or ratcheting mechanism at high rpm. Providing low rpm boost, better throttle response and a reduction in turbo lag and would allow the fitting of a larger turbo charger with out the associated problems of lag.
