Covid19

Lyft Customer Service Improvement Idea

Submitted 4 years ago

I understand that all liyft shared rides have been suspended due to concerns over the coronavirus. That being said it would make sense that all passengers Ride in the backseat to better comply with social distancing recommendations. This would seem like a no brainer but today in San Diego I picked up a guy who immediately sat in the front seat. The company should send a notification to all drivers encouraging them to have passengers sit in the backseat. They should also make a message pop up in the app when passengers are requesting rides telling them they should sit in the backseat to cooperate with social distancing for health reasons. Sitting in the front seat is normally no problem but it's not a good idea right now. It's a potential for spread of disease and a potential liability. Send some drivers might feel uncomfortable telling passengers to sit in the back the company could take the pressure off of us by Instructing passengers to sit in the backseat before we pick them up. They should be done sooner than later. Yes it seems like everyone should already understand this but as I found out today not everyone does. Thanks. Be safe everybody!
