there is little worse than being asked to run through a drive through or wait while a passenger make a lengthy purchase or extended stop anywhere. We don't get paid to sit. The pickup fee includes 5 min wait time. We are not compensated to wait at stops. We get 10 seconds to accept a ride, 60 seconds at a stop is surely reasonable but there should be time surcharges beyond that.
I fully agree. And if you mention to the passenger you can only wait 5 minutes they'll acknowledge this but still take 15 minutes and they'll leave something in your car so you're less likely to just end the trip and leave. I actually dropped off passengers bags at the stores customer service desk and gave them the name and description of the passenger and ended the trip. Passengers can be totally disrespectful of our time. Make them pat for it and compensate us for our time.
