Dear Team,
Telecom companies deactivate mobile numbers which are in inactive state for the period of 90 days.
These numbers are recycled again and any new subscribers can get the same number after a period of 100 days.
If the number has been previously used to create an account in Uber, the new user cant sign in with the recycled number to Uber.
this should be corrected. This is bad user experience and it will not allow all customers to sign in because that old account with the same number is still active under Uber.
If the name and the email address is different and is verified, then you should allow them to create a new account, rather than contacting the support team.
