Larger Than Life Treats
Wendy's Other IdeaSubmitted 4 years ago
My husband has Alzheimer's & he's in the phase of lost appetite & refusing even his past favorite foods. By chance, ona long trip, I bought 2 large frosties & combined them in my biggie iced tea cup. It turned out to be his very favorite thing & when all else fails with food, he will sit and sip that double frostie with a smile. I've requested but I g 2 lg. but having them both put in one cup-1/2 vanilla 1/2 chocolate (his fave) & it comes out the same in ounces.
Some managers understood & were happy to oblige, seeing the joy on his face. Others, however, were stiff & stern in their refusals of such an idea, statng they were not equal & that there was a higher cost on the large cups. I asked if it was not equal to 2 lg cups, size-wise & they refused. It seems, if I'm willing to pay for 2 larges, but have them in one cup to greatly please an 80-yr. old, why can they not oblige? Thank you, Bevery
