One of the best washers made, the Whirlpool belt drive is a washer that cleans clothes better than any washer now, even the Speed Queen TC5. It has a super surgilator agitator that turns over clothes better than the Maytag commercial. The woo woo noise comes from the belt and is the reason most people who had one remember it. It washes with a wig wag that makes the agitator move the clothes around and turn them over. Some have a recirculating lint filter that removes lint from the clothes like the filter flo from GE.
