Auto GPS technology has shifted. We are now seeing GPS being used through Apple share and Samsung share. This technology was revolutionary in the sense that it now became available at a more affordable price to the consumer. This system is not without flaw, as many experience issues with their phones overheating. This leads to battery issues, decreased phone life, and more importantly, decreased performance. In some cases the overheating can make other applications slow or even unusable while the GPS is being used/shared with the vehicle.

In the technological world people/organizations are constantly seeking ways to better cool machines and devices to increase performance. I believe with simple engineering, the same could be done in a vehicle to further support the customers smart devices. With a small channel for temperature controlled air pointed in the console area, the user will be able to keep a cool channel of air flow directly to their smart device, providing cooled ventilation. This is an idea that would benefit the customer at a very minimal cost to the manufacturer.
