A series like Raymond Chandler's Philip Marlowe, starting with the Big Sleep. In the 30s, detective fiction was at it's peak, and the dark gritty style that inspired modern classics like Philip Dicks' (ADoES) Bladerunner, Ray Bradbury and many others. Today we have a wealth of crime and police series, but the atmosphere of stories by Chandler, Hammett, Spillane, Cain, Thompson are absent from our modern creative work. It's time to bring them to life again for the next generation.
