Some of the best restaurants here in San Francisco have no delivery service whatsoever but do have a takeout service.
I wanted to order from one of them today and to my surprise there were absolutely no delivery services - and, also to my surprise, UBER eats only works with specific restaurants (probably contracted). Why? If I call in a pickup order to a restaurant it would be great for me, UBER and the UBER driver if Uber could send a driver to pick up my order and deliver it for me.
The particular restaurant would allow me to prepay ... If Uber felt it needed to have some arrangement in place with the restaurant, even if no cost to the restaurant then they should at least allow me to suggest these restaurants as ones to add to Uber eats - even if it's in a new category where I have to pre-order and then either pre-pay the restaurant or pre-pay Uber....
