Avoid Anonymous Fake News

WhatsApp New Service Idea

Submitted 5 years ago

Recently Whatsapp introduced a new feature so that receivers are notified that the message received is or are forward message. Considering the lynching incidents being reported from India which snatched away more than 20 innocent lives, I hereby suggest that the originator's number of any message or post should be captured and made part of the forward messages chain thereafter. This will definitely stop people sending or posting messages or posts in the comfort of being anonymous. When they know their number is being circulated as the 'originator' of any forward message, then they will avoid spreading fake or morphed news & pictures. The latest incident of a Google employee killed by lynching should be an eye opener to end the serious consequences of fake news / rumors being circulated through social media.
